I saw a painting that I like in your artwork pages. How can I purchase it?
You can either fill out a contact form on the 'Contact' page of this
website, call my studio directly at (618) 624-9914, or contact me via email at Bill@BillLittleArt.com about
your wishes. Currently I accept payment by check only. The painting will be shipped after the payment has been
received and verified.

One of your paintings really caught my eye, but the economy has been kind of tough on us. Could I make scheduled payments on a painting?
Yes - that way you can purchase the work you want without breaking your budget. You would be welcome to make payments by check over a period of a few months to suit your needs, and there is no interest charge for this option. You will be asked to sign an agreement to the payment purchase arrangements. When the full amount is paid off, your painting will shipped or
delivered to you. Please remember that shipping and applicable taxes are not included in the purchase price. Again, call or email to inquire about purchasing a painting by way of payments.

I noticed under some of the ‘thumbnails’ of your paintings that several of them have prices listed for ‘giclees’. What is a giclee and why should I consider buying one of those?
'Giclee' (pronounced "jhee-clay") is the best method of art reproduction.
Giclee is a French term meaning the "spraying of ink". It describes a technologically advanced
way of reproducing fine art. The original painting is digitally captured by either scanning or photographic methods,
and then printed using an ink jet printer that produces a greater resolution than what is
achievable by normal printers. A print need only be produced when requested, and the artist is not required to sell a
large number of prints in order to make printing an entire edition economically worthwhile, so the price to you
is many times less that of the original painting.

How do you ship artwork that people purchase and how much does that cost?
Shipping is not included in the price of my artwork, and the items would be shipped via UPS or Fed-Ex. The type of packaging or shipping container depends on the size of the art. Protecting the artwork is priority. Contact me for the price of shipping.

Are frames included in the prices of your paintings?
Frames are included with my studio paintings and some of those frames are
custom made and finished (note the paintings with fractional measurements). If you would prefer to buy a
studio painting unframed (with standard, not fractional measurements), 10% of the price of the work will be subtracted. Contact me by phone or email for details.

What happens if a painting isn't quite what I expected after I receive it? Can I get my money back?
I want you to be satisfied with the painting you purchase. If, for some reason,
the painting is not to your satisfaction, please contact me within 5 days to inform me of your decision.
In some cases, it may be something simple, i.e., the frame may need to be changed, etc.; I can work with you on this.
You can also return it for credit on another painting or return it for a full refund by check. Refunds will be made
only after payment verification has been achieved. All shipping costs are your responsibility

I noticed that several of your paintings are described as 'oil on board'. What is the differences between paintings on canvas and one painted on board?
For one thing, my 'board' paintings are heavier! I paint on prepared 1/4" to 1/2" thick MDF (very stable), and many people are surprised by how much a
painting executed on 'board' weighs compared to one on stretched canvas. But paintings done on board are much more
'archival'. The longest-lasting paintings in musuems around the world are on wood board or 'panel'; Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa on a poplar panel in the early 1500s. Paintings on plain board also have no canvas weave texture, and fine details easily stand out.

I have an idea of a painting I would like. Can I commission you to do a painting?
Yes, of course. To begin a commissioned work, we would discuss the proposed work including the subject, the size of the
work and the price. You may need to provide several quality photographs of any particular subject you may want featured. Once all details have
been established, you must pay 1/3 of the full price (non-refundable) before I begin. We will collaborate on the layout of the work with sketches and you will view the final
drawing on the canvas. You are welcome - even encouraged - to view the work as it progresses. Upon completion,
the remaining 2/3 of the price is due, and after the payment clears the painting is yours. If for any reason
you decide not to accept the work, I will keep the finished work with full right to show or sell it, as well
as the initial 1/3 payment to cover my cost of materials and time.
For commissions, again please contact me through any of the listed means.

I like what I see of your graphic artwork. I've
been thinking of having some graphic art work done, and I'm wondering... could I have you do that work for me?
First, it depends on where you live. If you reside somewhere in the St. Louis, MO area,
especially in the metro-east area on the Illinois side, I would be happy to talk with you about what you have in mind.
Like the process of commissioning fine artwork, we would discuss the proposed work including the particular
workpiece or vehicle you want decorated, the type, medium, and size of artwork you have in mind, and the price
estimate. I would need to photograph your workpiece or vehicle and take precise measurements.
For commissions of this type, again, please contact me through any of the listed means.
